After kicking off competitive Warhammer and Hordes with the Steamroller event it’s time to kick off a ladder or two. These will be in the form of 500 and 750 ladders. Each Ladder runs three months and starts when we have 8 confirmed , registered and paid up players. Registration is THB 300 per ladder.

Ladder Cost : THB 300
Ladder Scoring (end of each month) : Top player 150 Points :: Second/ Third – 75 Points :: Fouth/Fifth – 50 Points
Ladder Scoring (After 3 Months) : Top player 250Points :: Second 125 Points :: Fouth/Fifth – 75 Points

Ladder Prize Points convert into Baht for Warmachine / Hordes purchases on a 1 for 1 basis.

หลังจากงาน Steamroller ได้ผ่านไปได้รับการตอบรับอย่างมากมาย แต่ก็มีส่วนมากที่ไม่ได้ลงแข่งเพราะติดอะไรหลายๆอย่าง
ทางเราก็เลยจัดการแข่งขัน Warmachine & Hords แบบ Ladder เป็นระยะเวลา 3 เดือน

การ แข่งขันแบบ Ladder เป็น League แบบ Free Style เป้าหมายคือทำคะแนนให้ได้อยู่เป็นอันดับสูงสุดของลำดับทั้งหมด การแข่งขันแบบ Ladder จะดำเนินเป็นระยะเวลาช่วงหนึ่ง(ทางเราจะจัดแบบ 3 เดือน) ในช่วงเวลาสุดท้ายของการแข่งขันจะมีการแข่งรอบสุดท้ายจากผู้เล่น 2 อันดับแรกเพื่อหาผู้ชนะ ในการแข่งขันแบบ Ladder จำนวนครั้งในการเล่น หรือจำนวนครั้งในผลแพ้ชนะจะไม่ใช่ประเด็นหลัก สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สดคือตำแน่งของผู้เล่น

กฏการแข่งขัน

1. ผู้เล่นสามารถท้าแข่งกับผู้เล่นได้ก็ได้ที่มีลำดับมากกว่าตัวเองไม่เกิน 2 ลำดับ
2. ถ้าผู้เล่นสามารถเอาชนะคนที่อยู่อันดับสูงกว่าได้ ผู้เล่นคนนั้นจะได้เลื่อนลำดับขึ้นไปอยู่เหนือคนที่เอาชนะได้
3. ผู้เล่นที่อยู่ในลำดับ Top 4 จะต้องมีการแข่งอย่างน้อยหนึ่งครั้งต่อหนึ่งอาทิตย์เพื่อที่จะรักษาลำดับไว้ ไม่อย่างนั้นจะตกอันดับไป 2 ขั้นโดยอัตโนมัติ
4. ผู้เล่นไม่สามารถปฏิเสทการท่าแข่งจากผู้เล่นอื่นได้ ยกเว้นเสียแต่ว่าผู้เล่นคนนั้นได้เล่นไปแล้วอย่างน้อง 1 ครั้งในอาทิตย์นั้น
5. ผู้เล่นสามารถมีการแข่งขันกี่ครั้งก็ได้ใน 1 อาทิตย์
6. Ladder จะดำเนินต่อเนื่องเป็นระยะเวลา 8 ถึง 12 อาทิตย์
7. ในวันสุดท้ายของอาทิตย์สุดท้ายของ League จะมีการแข่งขันหาผู้ชนะเลิศโดย การแข่งขันรอบสุดท้ายของ 2 อันดับแรก
8. อาจจะมีกฏเพิ่มเติมเพิ่มภายหลังจากที่การแข่งขันได้เริ่มแล้ว

การแข่งขันในแต่ละครั้งของ Ladder

1. การแข่งขันทุกครั้งจะใช้ scenarios victory conditions แบบสุ่ม (รวมถึงการฆ่า Warcaster) ซึ่งจะมี
* Steamroller Mosh Pit
* Steamroller No Mans Land
2. ใน 1 Turn จะมีเวลากำหนด 15 นาที ไม่มีการต่อเวลา

ในครั้งนี้จะมีทั้งการแข่งขันแบบ 500 แต้ม และ 750 แต้ม (แยกกัน) โดยผู้เล่น 1 คนสามารถลงแข่งได้ทั้ง 2 แบบถ้าต้องการ
โดยค่าสมัครแต่ละ League ราคา 300 บาท ใครที่สนใจสามารถติดต่อสอบถามรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติมที่ร้านได้

We’ll be kicking off a starter campaign(or two) for people interested in learning the Pathfinder 3.5 version of  Dungeons and Dragons. This will be focused on new players only and will be  mixed Expat / Thai sessions.  We will be starting off with a stand alone adventure and once everyone has got into the game, the rules and the style of the game, then we will move on to one of the fully fledged Pathfinder Adventure Path Campaigns! Register at the store to let us know you’re interested. Targeted times are presently Sunday from 1Pm to 5Pm and/or Thursday from 6PM to 10Pm

After the successful demo of the Vampire the Requiem LARP earlier this month, Amanda will be starting a ongoing LARP (Live Action Role Playing) campaign.

If you are interested in joining in please contact Amanda or Chris for full details.

The basics for getting started in the campaign are as follows.

• Create a Vampire Requiem Character using 100 Experience Points.
• Create the characters pre-embrace background.
• Create the characters post-embrace background.
• Send a completed character sheet to Amanda

Battlefield Bangkok will run a boardgame tournament evet on Sept 5th . The details are follow

- Competitors will play 3 games: Ticket to Ride, Small World, Settler of Catan.  Each round, Competitors will not compete against the exact same competitors.  The points after the game will be awarded as follows

• Rank1 gain 5 points
• Rank2 gain 4 points
• Rank3 gain 3 points
• Rank4 gain 2 points
• Rank5 gain 1 point

After the third game, all points will be calculated for the final ranking.

The prize(s) will  depend on the number of the competitors. Contact the store team to book a place in the tournament.

The Entry fee is THB 100.

We have a number of store events on this coming weekend, starting on Friday with a small VTES Draft tournie. Saturday we have a learn a game session with our new demo game “Warrior Knights” and on Sunday it’s mini LARP with “Who killed the King!” Plus we have stock arriving so it’s going to be a busy weekend…and I’m down in Hua Hin with my kids at a Taekwondo tournament!

Also the the Lo5R CCG demo kit has arrived so we can look forwards to Mike setting up some demo games of this soon too!

We’ll be stocking Wyrd Miniatures http://www.wyrd-games.net/ starting in august. The miniatures are very cool, come in boxed sets or singles and also have a dice less Miniatures game.

We’ll also be getting some of their base inserts which will work with any miniatures.
