After some review and discussion, so that we can get more sessions in without ending too late, we’ve decided to shift RPG Day to be RPG Weekend. The sessions will run from 10 AM to 3 PM and 5 PM to 10PM, allowing time for some over run and a break between games. Planned sessions so far include

The last RPG day we ran (in association  with World RPG day) was a huge success and really helped to kick start the RPG scene at the store…. and as it’s been nearly 6 months since the last one….it must be time for a new event.

The focus of the event is

• Introduction of new RPG settings to experienced players
• Introduction of RPGs  to new players
• Short 4-5 hour games

Ideally Sessions will run from

• 9AM to  2 PM
• 3 PM to 8 PM
• 9 PM to 2 AM

Three sessions running at one time, 2 at the store , one nearby. So before we get players in, I’d like to ask for Volunteers to GM in Thai and English and review the best date for the event. Ideally GMs will run mini sessions of Games that players have not played before, so a mix of things like

• - Giest
• - Hunter
• - Changeling
• - DnD 4e
• - Star Wars
• - Cthulu
• - And others

Privateer Press have announced that the Hordes MKK II rules for field tests will be out next month, with an official release date of Summer 2010 for the full  Hordes MK II rules. Hopefully they will do the same as with Warmachine MK II and release a final version some time before summer!

After nearly a year of restless anticipation, Privateer Press is proud to announce that the HORDES Mk II Field Test will open on November 24th.

The HORDES Mk II field test documents will be available for download from the HORDES Mk II field test site at http://fieldtest.privateerpress.com. Players will need to register on the site in order to provide feedback and download the HORDES field test documents. Registration will open with the release of the HORDES Mk II field test documents at 10:00 am PST, November 24th. Note that players who register for the WARMACHINE Field Test will need to re-register to partake in the HORDES Mk II Field Test.

Following the conclusion of the HORDES Field Test, Privateer Press will release an amended field test document online on January 2, 2010. This document will be adopted as official for all Privateer Press organized play events that include HORDES. The amended document will not be the final version of the rules, but will include some changes made from field test feedback to provide HORDES players with the best rule set possible until HORDES Primal Mk II officially releases in summer 2010.

Nat with his Stealth / Bleed deck ran rampant at this weekends VTES event. The first two rounds he breezed through beating off two other like minded decks and an Intercept / Killer deck. However round 3 went radically different and he was the first out in a round that saw the Intercept / Killer deck knock off all of ther players to claim all the victory points for that round. However Nat had secured enough points in the early rounds to win the first constructed deck tournament at BFB.

Today the pathfinder campaign of Group 1 (Every  Third Sunday) are officially ongoing.

Character’s creation went well and some of the story are begins ( Pathfinder Module ).

It’s finally out and on the way, the long awaited expansion to Pandemic  is in the post and should be here in about 2 weeks. Also on the way are the new Warmachine Retribution miniatures that are due for release this week.  On that note check out this page on Privateer Press to get hold of what is said to be the final release of the MK II rules and Card data, it’s missing the graphics but the rules are all there and ready to use.

We’ll be starting two new sessions of DnD , using the Pathfinder core rules. This campaign is aimed at people who are new to DnD and are interested in learning the system and experiencing a fantasy system.

There will be two seperate gaming groups

Group 1 : Will play on Sunday Afternoons from 1 PM to 5:30PM every Third Sunday
Group 2 : Will play on Either Thursday or Friday Evenings from 6:30 to 10:30 PM Every two weeks.

The first session will focus on character creation and some initial party introductions and encounters to get everyone ready to play

Then the next 4-5 sessions will run using the first stand alone Pathfinder RPG (PFRPG) module. This will give everyone a chance to learn the rules and their characters, as well as a chance to see how other characters work.

Once that module is finished we’ll allow everyone to make a new character or stick with their original character, and then we will start a fully fledged PFRGP Campaign Path. The Campaign paths are designed to take characters from Level 1 to level 20.

The game will be run in English, the gaming groups are expected to be mixed Expat and Thai.

Please ensure you register at the store to book a place and  make sure you say whether you want to play at the weekend (Sunday) or on a week day (Friday/Thursday)
